AITUE SOCIAL AND CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION

From regional experience contributing to the whole country.

We are an organization from the Araucanía region, dedicated to the design and evaluation of indigenous public policies that contribute to the sustainable development of Chile, valuing its interculturality.

We were created to address the issue of indigenous peoples at the national level and to provide long-term solutions.

Our objective is to contribute to the analysis of issues related to the Indigenous peoples of Chile, providing society with spaces for dialogue, generating studies, and monitoring public policies that contribute to the recovery and development of their culture, the strengthening of Indigenous institutions, the promotion of the rights and responsibilities of Indigenous peoples, their sustainable development, and the fostering of encounter and dialogue among the diverse cultures that inhabit our country.

The foundation’s strategic pillars are culture and identity; institutional framework; the rights and responsibilities of Indigenous peoples; and productive development.

Our areas of action include formulating proposals and monitoring plans, programs, and public policies; managing and contributing to the improvement of Indigenous institutions in Chile; promoting the rights and responsibilities of our Indigenous peoples; conducting statistical studies; and engaging in international relations.
